Annie Haak Designs Press Day

This week I was invited to attend Annie Haak Designs press day over breakfast with some great bloggers and the designer herself in the heart of London. The atmosphere was lovely, who can resist tea, coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, waffles and pancakes and many many jewellery sitting all gorgeous and pretty just a few steps away from us.
It was a very special girly breakfast discussing fashion, movies and most of all Annie's precious pieces. The British designer is a very down to earth and friendly person, she was eager to give us as much information as we wanted and answered all of our questions. It was new to me to find out she is based in Bali for the most of the year, where Annie gets her inspiration from. Many of her designs are intended to carry a special meaning or symbols representing luck, love, protection, strength and well-being. She was described to me by one of her friends and co-workers as "both very talented and ambitious". Which I could clearly see by the variety of beautiful jewel pieces I had the luck to see in person.

Her new collection is stunning, making it a perfect gift for someone special for you. I am not going to lie, every girl can easily pick at least a few bracelets from the winter collection and write a letter to Santa with that specific request . My personal favourite is A Yard of Gold bracelet, which is a yard-long wrap of gold and was designed to act as five bracelets in one. And the special mention is for The Golden Santi My Guardian Angel Charm Bracelet, which can feature a personalized initial, a guardian angel and a choice of mantras. There is something unique for every woman from rose gold stacks to charm bracelets in gold and silver and dazzling stacks of gold in colour.
Now enjoy the pictures I have taken, they will represent the atmosphere of that amazing press day...well at least part of it!

Rocking Rudolph and Shimmering Snowflakes

Have you started your Christmas preparations yet? Well, I have, that is my first year in which I have actually started doing Christmas shopping before the beginning of December. Which in my case is a huge achievement having in mind I always leave things for the last moment? This year I casually started getting some nice pieces to decorate my Christmas table and around the house. I love the vintage and unique look not only for Christmas but for decorating your home as a whole. My family still have ornaments from my parents’ childhood, they are so pretty and no one can find them anywhere else now. However, there is a nice way to put new and old ornaments together. I still haven’t put up my Christmas tree but once I do I will put some photos of how it looks like. In this post I have put together the things I already have and what I want to buy for myself

I will first start with what I want to get and the place I usually look for unique stuff is Etsy. In picture I captured what I thought it will look perfect on my Christmas tree! See how adorable are the owl family in the first picture, my surname is not Sullivan, nor is 2012 but surely that can be fixed! And I think it is mainly for young families who have just had a baby and that is his/her first Christmas! Of course there should be something white and red to keep up the tradition and I happen to find exactly what I was looking for in the face of the lovely cushion like ornaments. Even though gingerbread man is not exactly popular in my country, I happen to find it quite fitting for Christmas tree so I picked that handmade gingerbread man ornament for my last pick (for now only!) from Etsy.

Now slowly moving on to what I have already bought for the holidays. My first pick was the Scarlet Glory Table Centre which I think will make your table look really elegant. I fell in love with the colours and since I have never had a proper centrepiece why not get this and hopefully I can use for years. It is from The Partyware Shop, which is an amazing place at the moment for Christmas shopping, it is full of tableware decoration, honeycombs, garlands etc all organized in different themes. My favourite one is the Shimmering Snowflake, and I believe if you have young children the RockingRudolph will be perfect for them since it is playful and fun.

That's my Christmas shopping for now, once I fill my home with more small pretty things I will drop you a line!

Do you have a confession to make?

I recently came across that amazing public art project called "Confessions". Based in Vegas, USA  in 2012, the project invites people anonymously to share their confessions and read the things other people have written. By the end of the exhibition over 1500 people have shared their deepest confessions some serious, other funny, disturbing or just random as I still love her two girlfriends and five years later., I am scared I will die alone, I eat too much cheese, I am in love with my best friend...too bad he is married, I like porn more than my husband does,After 15 years of marriage I am more in love today than ever, I don't know what I am doing and I am running out of time.
Every sentence represents a whole new world, another life filled with happiness and sadness, dreams, hopes and regrets. And you can easily find yourself somewhere between the words written by other people.

So what is your confession?

For more information about this art project visit the official website of the creator Candy Chang. Her project was also Before I die, which I have also mentioned in a post in my blog.

It's been forever...

It has been forever since I last wrote something in my blog... I know, I know...it is very irresponsible of me to "ditch" it like that. But believe me it has been such eventful months and I can't even put a really good reason why I didn't write a thing...it was  work, then personal life, summer etc... But the "dry" period is over. I am not going to promise that I will write everyday but hopefully every week at least one post :)
Let's see if I can stick up to that promise.
Just to say sorry again I have prepared this feel good weekend set which consists of a PJ set from Forever 21 and cute slippers from H&M :) That's how I will enjoy my weekend comfortably in bed with a good read and a hot chocolate :) Have a nice weekend everyone!

What a find! Lola bikes & coffee

I will stop making excuses why I haven’t written in the blog for a while. It is not because I don’t want to, but because between work, home and work again I barely have time to read my favourite blogs. Leaving aside all my complaining I want to show you what I found a couple of days ago and I honestly would love to go and have a cup of coffee there!
It will be great if you share your opinion of the place, if you live there or just visited as a tourist :)

Colourful hearts!

My previous post was dedicated to OASAP street fashion, because I like getting recommendations from my friends when they discover a great store they only know about. Well OASAP is not a store no one ever heard of, I can see that it is quite popular especially here in England, where the online shopping reaches new horizons.
When I travel to work every morning, I see people buying clothes on their smartphones, so I believe it is something completely random now. As far as I am concerned I prefer the “old-fashioned” way… but since some brands don’t actually have stores, then we have no choice but to purchase clothes online. The best thing about OASAP is that they are very quick in dispatching the items, it happens pretty much within 1-2 business days. The waiting period is not a long one as well, so that is a one red point in my notebook!

My package consists of a set of amazing earrings( I told you how much I like earrings) and a beautiful cute heart top for the spring season. The material is very light and flowy, exactly how I imagined it to be. That was actually one of my rare experiences of being completely happy with my online orders. Here is how they look like, be sure to check them out and leave a comment below of your recent online shopping experiences.
Plus Oasap have a sale now, so it's the right moment for a bargain ;)

Grey-ish Beauties

Is it just me, or the grey colour feels so perfect for the winter? I discoved it recently while reading an article on how to match a grey t-shirt...and it turned out it goes with pretty much everything! In honour of that "new" discovery I made, I put an outfit together, it is not entirely grey, but I like how the dark colours go together on a winter day. Plus all the items are from Oasap.com, which a great place for high street fashion clothes. In the next post I will show you what I got from them, but until then here is the outfit!

Saturday DIY!

I discovered the world of crafts and DIYs last year between my studies and the little free time I had reading blogs and stumbling upon some very creative websites with many wonderful ideas I never thought exist.
Of course I bookmarked a bunch, making them my everyday routine in the long hours of travelling in London. They can be quite interesting and informative, therefore I almost missed my bus stop a couple of times. My newest discoveries in the DIY area include some of my favourite websites listed below :)

A Beautiful Mess - one of the most creative websites out there, thanks to Elsie and Emma. This time the two talented girls present this light headboard, which is a very creative decoration idea for any type of room.

Featured:Milna

Long overdue is my interview with Milna from Milna89,a fashion blogger who lives in Oslo,Norway and strangely for some people is not interested in fashion. Her greatest accomplishment is graduating from university as a construction engineer (civil engineer) but her passion is dressing well and presenting herself in the best possible way.

How long have you been blogging and what made you start?

Exactly 40 days.(the interview was taken in November). Not a long time, but I had an amazing start.
I was just bored with my life. It was really monotone. Now I get the chance to be active in my life, in the sense that I’m putting myself out there and going after the thing I want.

Where are your favorite places to shop?

I’m really a high-street girl. Love H&M, Zara and Mango. Those stores fit my pocket really well, and they have presentable items.

Are there any trends you are particularly inspired by this season?

I do really follow trends to be honest. I just do not have the brain capacity to follow trends on point. If it’s fabulous – it is a trend according to me.
