Outfits I like this week

As you know I am a bit of a recently become fashion freak,it's strange for me because until last year fashion was one of my least favourite topics. But the past year change the was I see thing around me,how I see myself as well.So let's get to the point here are some of my recent fashion favourite finds!

Here is Sidney from TheDayBookBlog.I love her style and her blog (her son is one of the cutest little boys ever). In this outfit I really like the wedges( even though you can't see them in this picture) and the blazer. The combination between colours and fabrics looks very well put together :)

My next find is Kimberly's outfit. Her blog Eat.Sleep.Wear is one of my daily stops.I like the blazer, the bag and the hat and I think they go really well with the denim.

And last but not least is Maya's back to black outfit. I really like her blog I heart Maya and I am looking forward to new updates from her.

So these are the outfits I am loving this week.
Stay safe and happy....and keep reading my "not so good but soon to be improved" blog :)

Ready for the summer!

I am sooo anxious for this summer!I really can't wait for it,I don't think I have ever waited the summer for so long. That is because here in the UK the weather is always gloomy, foggy, rainy and depressing and people really need the sun.Well i don't know about other people, but I really can use some sunny days.
Unfortunately I still need to wait about 2 more months until I get back home.
It's sad but people don't appreciate the small things they have sometimes. For example the sun and the warmth of the sunny rays through the green trees, the happiness when you wake up and see that the weather is smiling at you as well, back home I took it for granted.Always cherished it but never really asked myself "What am I going to do without it?"
Now that I don't have it and my skin is as pale as Snow White's, I can say that I will definitely appreciate it more when I get back home.Wait....not when i get back home...I appreciate it now and I am praying for the sun to show up every day but I know that I will see it soon!Until then here is what every girl needs for the summer! :)

Random things I like

These are absolutely random things I found on the net in the past couple of days and I liked a lot!

I found this dress on Pinterest today and since i love lace i liked the sleeves and the neck line and the fact that is probably from sheer material is definitely a plus.
Here is the website but unfortunately is sold out Tobi

Something that I would definitely wear!

I love the bohemian look.

But i also like the rock style look

Isn't that the cutest combination?

Tears of the black tiger review

I am not a big fan of the Asian cinema.I can't explain why, maybe because the culture is too different to understand or because the films are usually so long and not engaging that I can hardly stay awake through a whole one.I am pretty sure that they can say the same about our cinema. My simple explanation is that our minds work differently and the things that make them laugh or cry are ridiculous for us and the other way round. Even though my review is not very flattering I respect the work that everyone put into making this film.

Tears of the black tiger (2000)
Director: Wisit Sasanatieng

Despite the fact that the film works very hard to entertain us, it is more of a “rising eyebrows” reaction that provokes. But one can’t deny that it is a unique cinematic experience filled with almost pastel looking paintings backgrounds and breathtaking landscapes.
Dum(Chartchai Ngamsan)is a member of the notorious bandits under the name the Black tiger and one of the best shooters in Thailand’s countryside, Rumpoey( Stella Malucchi) is his destined soul mate, who has agreed to marry him despite their class differences. When Dum misses his rendezvous with Rumpoey, she is inconsolable and under too much pressure her father puts her into, accepts a proposal of marriage from Police Captain Kumjorn.
While some parts are certainly funny, the pacing is slow and the story gets caught up in romantic melodrama that at times it's boring and even confusing.
With its cartoon-like violence, corny dialogues, ridiculous vicious laughter and heavy stylized settings the film is obviously intended to be one of those cheesy pop-corn movies.
Unfortunately it is too ridiculous to be funny, too artificial to be truly involving and with the not-chronological-order narrative structure finally frustrating the viewer past the point of caring. Tears of the Black Tiger is a film that is supposed to become a cult one among the fans of the spaghetti westerns adding a drop of surrealism with its garish colours and emotional close-ups.
The violence is puzzling too, whether to laugh or be purely disgusted by the slow motion massacres; woman punched in the stomach or exploding mixture of brain and teeth filled with blood spilling like ketchup on a pizza.
One man’s masterpiece is another man’s absurdity.

Yammy potatoes...

Today I was thinking what to make for dinner and was inspired to browse the net for some ideas when I found this recipe for potatoes in vinegar and decided to share it with you.

It's from 101cookbooks

Grilled Salt & Vinegar Potatoes

The original recipe calls for white vinegar. I used a white wine vinegar instead - but you can use either. I suspect you could actually experiment over time w/ different types of vinegar. I used fingerling potatoes that were on the large size, but any waxy potatoes will do.
2 cups / 475 ml white wine vinegar
1 pound / 16 oz / 450 g waxy potatoes (see head notes), cut into 1/4-inch slices
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon flaky sea salt, plus more for seasoning
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
fennel salt* to taste (optional)
Pour the vinegar into a medium saucepan, then stack (or arrange) the potatoes so the vinegar covers them completely. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 5 minutes, or until the potatoes are just fork tender. You want them to hold their shape, so they don't fall apart on the grill later. Let the potatoes cool in the vinegar for 30 minutes. Drain well, then very gently toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Heat the grill to medium high. Grill potatoes, covered if possible, until golden on one side, then flip and grill the other side - roughly 3 - 5 minutes per side. Serve sprinkled with salt or fennel salt to taste.
Serves 4.
*To make fennel salt: toast 1 tablespoon of fennel seeds in a skillet, pound to a powder with a mortar and pestle, then combining it with about two tablespoons of flaky sea salt.

London,baby!

I love travelling,I love the waiting for the departure, getting ready to go to the airport (or the bus or the train).I love everything about it!One of my recent trips was to London.
Since I live in Glasgow now it is not that far away and I have been there last year as well.... but London is such an amazing cosmopolitan city that you cannot explain the feeling when you get to see the Big Ben or the Tower Bridge in person.
Here are some of my snapshots:

My Videos

I have always been very protective of the videos I make.It actually started as a hobby about seven years ago and it is still something that inspires me and gives me the opportunity to be creative. It genuinely makes me happy and sometimes serves as an escape from the everyday routine(even though I try not to have one). In My Videos page you will find some examples of my videos but I can practically edit everything so if you are interested in my work or you want me to edit something for you just contact me and I will see what I can do.

Here is another example of what I am capable of (as a huuuuge Lost fan i made quite a lot of videos dedicated to the series)

Try the Nutella Mug Cake

The whole "cake in a mug" must be strange to you,it was definitely strange to me until I found that recipe during a random "cake recipes" search on Google. Art installation projects or how to inspire people...

Yesterday I was using StumbleUpon(if you haven't, please do....you may find so many amazing websites and blogs there)  and I found a website with art projects from Candy Chang who is an artist, designer and urban planner. Her goal is to make cities more comfortable and contemplative places according to the information i found.
The project I found is inspirational and can bring people together and it is an interesting way to express your dream and desires. It is called "Before i die" and it may seem a bit scary to think about that particular moment but the actual project is inspired by people's goals in life. Here are some pictures:

The project is expanding to various cities including Amsterdam, Portsmouth, Querétaro, Almaty, San Diego, Lisbon, London.
To read more about the installation or look for more information about the artist visit this website Before I die .

Personally I fell in love with an art installation called "Listening Post"when i was attending Critical Theories of Digital Media lecture at the university.
Here is the video of the installation if you are interested in learning more about it. I liked the idea of using the "I am..." line and the music is absolutely fitting!

See you later! And .... blogging is really becoming a hobby of mine. :)

A new day...a new blog

I have never been interested in blogging...until several months ago when I was introduced to that amazing part of the internet community.I have read blogs before, don't get me wrong but I never really felt the need to keep one. Now as a part of my hobby and profession as a journalist I decided to dedicate my spare time to learn the craft of blogging.
This will be the place to post my inspirations( and it's not just writing)...articles, film reviews, fashion tips for women and one of my newest obsessions- crafting! I know,I know... every woman is into crafting. But I am not in that stage in which I can invent my own stuff, it's rather the stage when i copy and paste ideas from the massive community of the crafty women! And believe me they are....a lot!So some of my posts will be strictly connected with my little obsessions!I hope you will keep an eye on my blog and who knows... you may find something that is interesting to you as well! :)
